SUMMER 2019/2020 DATES
Sunday 3rd November 2019 - Electric Blues Collective
The Electric Blues Collective punch out a heady mash of ferocious Chicago blues. With Little Walter, Howling Wolf and Bo Diddley whipping the horses, they’re reinterpreting rather than re-hashing, creating original high vibe dancing blues music. Sam Wylie and Phil Coyne are the heart and soul, sharing vocal duties with Sam doubling on driving guitar and Phil on his frenzied and infectious harp. The Rhythm section comes from the Collective of the Melbourne Blues scene keeping each gig new, exciting and fresh.
November 3rd Show Also Features Diamonds and Blues
"Two shades of entertainers that combine to create a sultry yet potent cocktail of Blues." MBAS Aus.
Lady Fox has been entertaining audiences in Melbourne and around Australia with her vintage style cabarets, calling upon the greats such as Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Dorothy Dandridge, Etta James and Billie Holiday. DIDDY REYES style of Mod Blues has seen him tour his band throughout some of Victoria's most celebrated festivals, punching out Rhythm and blues in styles of Big Joe Turner, Bill Hayley, Chuck Berry.
Sunday 9th February 2020 - Artist To Be Announced in November!
Sunday 26th April 2020 - Geoff Acheson
Hailing from rural Victoria, Geoff learned to play guitar via a fascination with American blues music. In 1995 he represented Australia at the International Blues Competition in Memphis, USA and won the coveted Albert King Award for his guitar skills. Subsequent tour schedules have kept him on the move around the globe and earned him something of a cult following amongst fans of blues ‘n’ roots music. Geoff delivers heartfelt gutsy songs that often defy classification; blues-influenced and very funky, but prone to launching into spontaneous improvisations without losing focus on the song.
